Word in from business publication MCV reports this week that UK video game have dropped below 15 million pounds per week for the first time since 2007.

According to the latest reports from ELSPA and ChartTrack weekly sales for the week ending May 17th struck 13.7 million pounds, down from 16.6 million pounds the week prior.

The last time sales passed 20 million was during the week ending April 18th, while April sales in the also disappointed, some commentators predicting that the is starting to hurt gaming.

Alternatively, it's worth noting that there haven't been many large releases in recent weeks, although this looks likely to change as games like and Prototype start hitting stores.
