Monkey Gods formed by ex-Naughty Dog bosses
Casual and social titles mooted
A new casual game developer has been announced today, no, wait, come back... this is a developer with some pedigree.
Monkey Gods is the name of the new outfit, which has been founded by Jason Rubin and Andrew Gavin, the men behind Naughty Dog - inventors of the Crash Bandicoot series.
The firm say they will focus on casual, social titles, developing for consoles and the increasingly important iPhone.
Monkey Gods' first games include Monkwerks, a multiplayer word challenge, and Snood for the iPhone, a "re-invention of the original Snood PC game", described as "one of the most dowloaded and addictive online games ever created."
More from the Rubin and Gavin soon.
