Stardock chief Brad Wardell has told those players still using pirated copies of new release Demigod that they need to accept that they are 'thieves'.

Speaking as the game hit the chart, Wardell hit out at the epic number of pirated copies of the game being played, stating that just because the game is selling well this isn't excuse for not paying.

"Demigod is heavily pirated. And make no mistake, pisses me off," Wardell told his personal blog.

"If you're playing a pirated copy right now, if you're one of those people on Hamachi or GameRanger playing a pirated copy and have been for more than a few days, then you should either buy it or accept that you're a thief and quit rationalizing it any other way."

Demigod hit the hit headlines when Stardock revealed that the title had been pirated over 100,000 times in its opening weekend. More soon.
