An official 'Ashes' cricket game has been unveiled by Codemasters, Ashes Cricket 2009 on the way for the PC, PS3, and Wii.

Transmission Games are in charge of this new creation, and it'll include every major cricketing team, plus 18 stadiums spread across 12 countries. Different kinds of games will of course be supported.

Two-player and four-player offline modes are also likely to go down well, and there will commentary from Shane Warne, Tony Greig and other cricketing names.

A release in the summer is on the cards, although the version won't be out until later in the year - presumably because of some fancy control schemes Transmission are plotting.

Howzat?
