Apparently, 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand has sold a fraction of what the original game managed; or one-twelfth to be precise.

The original 50 Cent: Bulletproof sold over 1.1 million copies in its lifetime, while Blood on the sand has yet to top 60,000 sales. After same period of time, the original game had already amassed nearly 700,000 sales.

This dreadful start comes despite number two actually garnering generally more favourable reviews; the title seemingly hurt by the transition from VU Games to THQ.

Vivendi opted not to hang on to the game following the merger with Activision, although given THQ's experience with gangster-themed 2, the title was expected to fair well still.

Fiddy won't be pleased.
