Codemasters inspired by Formula One game
The game fans 'deserve'
Codemasters are confident that their officially licensed Formula One game will be the finest F1 game "ever", when the the title launches in tandem with the 2010 season.
The new F1 game will use the same engine as GRID, and promises authentic weather, handling, car tuning and more - that will all impact how races pan-out.
"F1 games haven't set the world alight over the last decade and we think that the sport deserves a game which really captures its excitement and glamour," says producer Gavin Raeburn, speaking to the Official Xbox Magazine.
"The online component is as important as the single-player experience. Key to this is enabling people to find and play with the right people.
"If you're an arcade fan playing F1 online you probably want to play with like-minded players in shorter racers, rather than end up in a hardcore sim session."
PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the racer will be released next year, although we are promised PSP and Wii titles this year.
