Chinese WoW transition could see downtime
Morhaime foresees move 'issues'
Mike Morhaime, big chief at Blizzard, has said that the Chinese version of World of Warcraft may have to go off-line for a spell as the MMO is moved between operators.
Blizzard are switching their massive online hit from The9 to NetEase, and Morhaime assured any downtime would be 'limited' when speaking at Activision's first-quarter earnings briefing.
Globally, World of Warcraft boasts over 11 million monthly users, with a lot of these people located in China from what we can gather.
Having lost the epic World of Warcraft contract, The9 have unveiled a rival MMO cunningly titled World of Fight.
More as we get it.
