New online plans for EA
Riccitiello talks up digital delivery
EA will launch not one but two brand new subscription services this financial year, the firm's ambitious online plans confirmed by CEO John Riccitiello even as a whopping 1 billion USD loss was confirmed.
"On PC, our subscription revenue streams continue to grow with our Pogo and Warhammer businesses," the big cheese explained.
"We also plan to introduce two additional online subscription services later in the fiscal year."
When quizzed on the specifics of these new offerings, Riccitiello enthused: We think they're consumer propositions first, and we want to use the best possible public relations to bring those to market in a way that will benefit the titles. We'll certainly be communicating what they are on or around the next call."
Sounds... cryptic. More on this soon.
