Launch trouble hits Fallout 3: Broken Steel DLC
PC release hits snags
The third slice of DLC for Bethesda's hit RPG Fallout 3 launched today exclusively on Xbox Live and PC, but as with The Pitt, it seems this new content (which opens up the original ending of the game) is giving users more than a few technical problems.
As with the last DLC release, the PC version of the game is giving downloaders something of a hard time, users reporting the error message: "Not a cryptographic message or the cryptographic message is not formatted correctly. (Exception from HRESULT: 0×8009200D)."
There are also reports of some bizarre file-size discrepancies, although we've yet to hear of any troubles affecting the Xbox Live version of the content, which is out today for 800 points.
More on all this as we get it.
