Interplay and Vivendi kiss and make-up

After engaging in a recent bout of finger pointing and legal proceedings, publisher Vivendi and Interplay have reached an amicable agreement concerning payments and other contentious issues, which had threatened to stall a number of Interplay's releases handled under-agreement by VU Games (Vivendi). However, the companies today publicly confirmed that they have settled their dispute, and are now both looking forward to launch of Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel - as are we.
"Our distribution agreement with Interplay has been a mutually beneficial and valuable partnership for both parties since 2001," commented Philip W. O'Neil, Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Vivendi Universal Games. "We are pleased to have come to an understanding with Interplay and look forward to the upcoming launch of Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel."
The original deal, which was struck in 2001, will now continue through to August 2005.
