The Wii's new video service - just available in - will eventually launch outside of the country as well, that's the news from boss Satoru Iwata.

Speaking as the new "Wii-no-Ma" channel launches in the land of the rising sun, Iwata said the service is "under planning in the future" for overseas debuts.

"Wii-no-Ma service is available only in Japan at the start, but the overseas deployment is under planning in the future," Iwata explained.

The new channel hit Japan yesterday, and presently includes new and licensed programs, as well promotional materials.
