UK developer Mucky Foot, the team behind Startopia and Urban Chaos - among other titles - is to close following the cancellation of a major project by a publisher, it's been suggested. The Guildford-based developer has entered liquidation, with all staff being made redundant.

Hopes were high for the developer, formed by a few ex-Bullfrog chaps, however they fell victim to the same financial crush which has caused the downfall of many other small developers recently, including Computer Artworks, Lost Toys, Hot Gen and Silicon Dreams. Sad times for UK games indeed.
