Developer shocked by Six Days in Fallujah cancellation
Atomic surprised by publisher decision
Konami confirmed yesterday that they will no longer publish action title Six Days in Fallujuah owing to the negative response to the Iraq war-themed game, particularly in the USA. Atomic Games, the developer of the title, are apparently shocked by Konami's decision.
"We were informed on Thursday night that Konami had decided to pull out of Six Days in Fallujah. This caught us by surprise. Development of the game had been progressing very well and on schedule," read a statement from Atomic.
"We would very much like the opportunity to complete the game."
The developer are refusing to be drawn on what this means for the game, although the title was supposed to be released on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2010.
