Warner Bros ready Midway take-over?
Offer looms for troubled publisher
Having all but given up their role in Eidos Interactive (now owned by Square Enix), Warner Bros are instead considering a take-over of troubled US game maker Midway.
According to MCV's sources, the media giant are preparing a bid, and will move soon.
"Warner is pretty confident that they will get Midway - which will be an immediate boost to their portfolio," offered the source.
"The deal isn't done yet. Midway is still open to offers from other potential buyers - but Warner looks to be favorite to wrap it up.
"They look ready to put the money on the table."
Warner are apparently attracted by IP including Mortal Kombat and Stranglehold.
