Having all but given up their role in Interactive (now owned by Square Enix), are instead considering a of troubled game maker Midway.

According to MCV's sources, the media giant are preparing a bid, and will move soon.

"Warner is pretty confident that they will get - which will be an immediate boost to their portfolio," offered the source.

"The deal isn't done yet. Midway is still open to offers from other potential buyers - but looks to be favorite to wrap it up.

"They look ready to put the money on the table."

Warner are apparently attracted by IP including and Stranglehold.
