A court may have already told to return the source code for Scratch: The Ultimate DJ, while at the same time, dismissing Numark and Genius' complaint that the publisher were trying to the release of the rival - but this isn't the end of the matter.

Rather, the Activision backed ex-Scratch developer 7 Studios are now counter-suing Genius. They claim Genius has engaged in a "textbook case of unlawful and unsavory business practices."

The publisher are demanding one-million USD in damages, and claim that Scratch was delayed because it couldn't get platform holder approval, as a result of the game's track list being only 25 per cent complete three months prior to launch.
