PS3 sales rocket in Japan
Final Fantasy demo sees Sony console on top
Media Create today let rip with the latest hardware sales out of Japan, covering the week ending April 19th. The week saw PS3 sales soar, with the release of the Final Fantasy XIII demo credited with driving interest.
The PS3 finished the week with sales in excess of 62,000 units, the PSP a distant second with just over 40,000. Third was the DSi with over 38,000.
Then there's the Wii console with over 13,000 units sold, the Xbox 360 next in line with less than 9.000 systems sold.
The DS Lite managed over 6,000 sales, the PS2 last with less than 5,000 sales.
