Amazon.com extend their tentacles further into the download market today, the retailer announcing plans to start selling titles via their store.

Of course, they won't be selling the actual downloads, rather Amazon will instead proffer download codes. The first one on sale is World of Goo, yours for 19.99 USD.

Amazon already offer Live releases, as well digital downloads, so presumably WiiWare is regarded as the next step.

Amazon.co.uk, meanwhile, state they have no plans to start selling digital titles in Blighty, while the US store are presumably looking to land releases in order to complete the trio of current generation systems.

More on this soon.
