Demigod suffers amid epic piracy
Over 100,000 dodgy copies hinted
Word in from online game distributers Stardock reveals that more than 100,000 copies of Gas Powered Games' new RPG Demigod have been pirated, just a few days after the game was made available.
While claiming that over 120,000 people have accessed their servers to play the game online, Stardock reveal that only 18,000 legitimate copies of the new title have been sold to-date.
The game's release online was pulled forward as a result of Gamestop releasing the title onto shelves early, forcing Stardock to scramble in order to get the online side of the game up to speed as well.
Whether pirated copies will update correctly is unknown, but clearly if paid-for sales remain this low then this doesn't bode well for the companies involved in the game. More on Demigod soon.
