Final Fantasy XIII out in Japan this winter

But Western plans remain illusive

While European and US gamers are going to need to wait until 2010 for Final Fantasy XIII's arrival on the PS3 and Xbox 360; Japanese fans will get the game this 'winter'.

The Blu-ray version of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children is out this week, and it includes a hour long taster of Square Enix's new RPG.

The demo confirms that the title is out on the PS3 this 'winter', in Japan, with the multi-format Western debut earmarked for 2010.
