Fallujah game in the works at Konami
Title based on Iraq war due next year
A new third-person action title is in the works at Konami, the new escapade set to be called Six Days in Fallujah, and be based on the 2004 Iraq battle - in which 38 US and 1,200 Iraqi soldiers were killed.
Word on the new action game comes from the LA Times, who reveal that Atomic Games are developing for a release in 2010.
"For us, the challenge was, 'How do you present the horrors of war in a game that is also entertaining, but also gives people insight into a historical situation in a way that only a video game can provide?' offers Atomic chief Peter Tamte.
"Our goal is to give people that insight, of what it's like to be a Marine during that event, what it's like to be a civilian in the city and what it's like to be an insurgent."
We'll bring you more on Fallujah as we get it.
