MotionPlus 'too responsive'
EA Tennis producer admits they've had to tone it down...
The Wii's MotionPlus enhancement, due out later this year, is actually too sensitive, according to one of the developers working on EA's Grand Slam Tennis for the console, which takes advantage of the attachment.
Speaking to TechRadar, producer Thomas Singleton described the new system as "over responsive", which presumably carries its own problems - as with the standard Wiimote's lack of sensitivity.
"It truly is giving you that one-to-one control movement of your arm motion and then mapping it directly to that one-to-one movement of your character on screen," offered the developer.
"At times it's overly responsive. It had so much fidelity that at times we have limited that fidelity to make it a compelling experience and giving you full total control."
We're going to be taking a closer look at Grand Slam Tennis soon.
