Activision believe that their upcoming sequel 2, currently being crafted by sans 'Call of Duty' title, could be the biggest game release "of all time".

Speaking to MCV, brand manager Simon Wells was more than upbeat: "Each year the franchise goes from strength-to-strength," he beamed.

"We want to propel this year's title to be the biggest selling video game of all time. That may raise some eyebrows, but step back and look at the franchise's trajectory through preceding launches, and this objective starts to look viable."

Activision hope to make the game the year's best seller, and are promising an epic marketing budget; the publisher planning to take on other entertainment mediums with a vast launch.
