The has finally passed the one million console milestone in Japan, according news from this afternoon. It took quite a while, didn't it?

Japanese publication Famitsu says that lifetime Japanese officially passed the one million mark this week, the console having gone on sale back in winter 2005.

By comparison, the has managed sales in excess of three million since launch, the presumably having long since surpassed the fifty-squillion mark, although the magazine don't have any official figures for that.

More on the 360's somewhat damp Japanese performance as we get it.
