Final Fantasy XIII pushing PS3 to the limit
Demo finished, game nearly complete in Japan
While Square's new Final Fantasy XIII RPG is coming to both the PS3 and Xbox 360 outside of Japan, the title remains firmly PS3 exclusive within the land of the rising sun - the developer talking up the degree to which the game will push Sony's console.
"Doesn't the demo use about 50 percent of its power? Of course, I think the retail version will make use of nearly 100 percent," producer Yoshinori Kitase tells Dengeki PlayStation 3 magazine.
"We are finishing up the tail end of the development," he adds, on the present status of the game.
Apparently, the new RPG will push the console in the same way Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy X drove the PlayStation and the PlayStation 2 before it.
More on this eagerly awaited adventure as we get it.
