Tory MP profers gaming BAFTA recognition
UK Commons motion sees gaming celebrated
Tory MP Edward Vaizey has taken a stab at landing the gamer's vote this week, tabling an early day motion to recognise the UK's BAFTA nominees and winners, such as LittleBigPlanet, Fable II and Race Driver: GRID.
GamePolitics reports, citing the motion recorded on the House of Commons website:
"[Moved:] That this House notes the importance of the video games sector to the UK economy; congratulates the winners and nominees at this year's Bafta Video Games Awards; notes in particular the success of UK developed games, including Media Molecule's LittleBigPlanet, Codemasters' and Lionhead Studios' Fable II, all of which won awards..."
