Fallout 3 takes GDC awards crown
Developer's choice awards dished out stateside
The Developer's Choice Awards have been unveiled at GDC, and it is Bethesda's Fallout 3 that walks away with the coveted Game of the Year award, pipping Fable 2, LittleBigPlanet, Left 4 Dead and GTA IV.
Hideo Kojima was also awarded a Lifetime Achievement award at the event, while Harmonix founders Alex Rigopulos and Eran Egozy landed 'Pioneer' gongs.
Fallout 3 also won in the Best Writing category, Prince of Persia won for Visual Art and LittleBigPlanet won through for Innovation, Technology and Best New Debut.
Dead Space was awarded Best Audio, World of Goo was the top Downloadable, while God of War: Chains of Olympus is apparently the top handheld outing.
