Alienware suffer as sales fall
Gaming PC makers get credit crunched
Special PC manufacturers Alienware, most famous for their super-duper gaming rigs, are suffering amid tough economic conditions, the firm revealing today that jobs will be lost as two plants are closed; in Miami and Ireland.
Production of Alienware machines will be moved to existing Dell facilities, according to ExtremeTech.
It is unclear how many jobs will be lost; spokesperson Winnie Wong unsure of the company's exact plans, but we do hear that the lay-offs will be complete by the end of October this year.
Alienware are responsible for some of the very best gaming PC systems, so it is unclear what the move in-house at Dell will mean for the firm's range.
