Physics specialists Havok, who provide technology to a number of the world's biggest games, have announced at GDC this week that they are branching out - the firm set to enter the AI market.

Speaking with 1UP, it sounds as if Havok are fathoming a new piece of middleware that will make it easier for game developers to integrate AI of a good standard into their titles.

The new technology should allow "developers to automatically generate navigation meshes quickly while offering dynamic pathfinding and integration with Havok's current middleware offerings."

No games embracing the tech have been confirmed as yet.
