Developer: iPhone better than DS and PSP
Mobile game maker reveals Rolando sequels at GDC
Chatting in a keynote address at the Games Developers Conference in San Francisco, ngcomo founder Neil Young has described the iPhone as the "most important" gaming platform.
Young's mobile gaming-led address also said that Apple's popular gizmo is "better than the DS, better than the PSP," because users carry it with them always.
The developer added that the format presented better than usual opportunities for game makers because of the lack of first-party titles to compete with.
"Don't let the haters tell you it sucks compared to the DS or the PSP. It doesn't. It's good. It's clear that the quality of iPhone games is eclipsing its console counterparts, and that's even more acute when you compare it against the prior generation."
Young used his address at GDC to confirm that two iPhone sequels are on the way, Rolando 2 and Rolando 3. Rolando 2: The Quest for the Golden Orchid will be released in June.
