Multiplayer mode for BioShock 2?
Magazine speculates over brand new mode
Long awaited 2K sequel BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams, is set to include a multiplayer mode, according to rumour in from Kotaku this morning.
The original BioShock was of course all about the singleplayer, even when a later version was released on the PS3, but it seems the lure of online action has perhaps proved too much for developers at 2K.
Chatter of a multiplayer mode emerges from the latest issue of Game Informer stateside, which includes a number of details on the new title - including word on a two player co-op function which is likely to spice up the singleplayer game too.
Inevitably, details of multiplayer fun are thin on the ground, leading some to speculate that the magazine are in fact referring to the co-op mode; but we're hopeful of something a little meatier - the setting of Rapture lending itself well to competitive tussles, in our humble opinion. More on this soon, with a bit of luck.
