New PS3 update this month
PSN developer reveals firmware plans
A brand new firmware update for the PlayStation 3 could be released this month by Sony, rumour online this afternoon suggests.
Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket Powered Battle-Cars' developer Psyonix Studios let slip that a new firmware patch could be on the way when talking about their PSN release, revealing it is planned for release "later this month" (the firmware, not the game).
In a new update concerning bugs in the racer, Psyonix offer: "Sony mentioned a bug they fixed with the next system software update (2.7.0) that might resolve these issues, but we have to narrow it down and verify it's the same problem to be sure it's that and not something we need to fix on our end."
Posts on this subject have been mysteriously vanquished, after another hinted at "lots of fun new fixes" in the upcoming patch. Still, it looks likely that the latest PS3 update should be out this month, all being well.
