Gamespot is today reporting that former 3D0 head-honcho Trip Hawkins will be making a return to the games imminently as head of a new venture, Digital Chocolate. Instead of focussing on the and publishing of games however, Trip's new firm will be dabbling in the emerging market that is wireless mobile systems and entertainment.

Trip said of his new business of choice, "there are a lot of killer apps that have yet to be invented", and enthused that wireless gaming offers "probably the most interesting computer platform in history". More news on Digital Chocolate and the ever-confident Mr Hawkins as we get it.
