Activision still publishing for LucasArts
New releases planned
Activision Blizzard may have undergone radical changes in recent months, as part of the merger with Vivendi Universal Games, but that doesn't mean the end of the publisher's relationship with LucasArts.
Apparently, LucasArts have announced the renewal this week of their publishing deal with Activision Blizzard, which covers Europe, Asia and Australia. LucasArts publish their own games in North America.
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed has become the biggest selling Star Wars game of all time, racking-up sales of 5.7 million, a performance both firms are no doubt pleased with.
"This agreement with Activision reflects LucasArts' commitment to the international markets and we look forward to bringing the best products to our consumers worldwide," beamed LucasArts’ Mary Bihr.
"We made the decision based upon Activision's proven track record in managing strong brands and our long standing relationship which has produced tremendous results as games such as LEGO Indiana Jones and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed have risen to the top of sales charts globally."
