Ambitious title I Am Alive has parted company with developer Darkworks, the game moving to Shanghai in order to allow Darkworks to handle other unspecified obligations.

I Am Alive was originally due out this winter, but was pushed back, and it seems this caused something of a scheduling 'clash' for developer Darkworks. It is unclear if the move to will mean further delays to the game's release.

"In order to respect the new launch date for this ambitious title, and Darkworks having other obligations, we have mutually decided to complete of I Am Alive at Ubisoft Shanghai, as the two studios have collaborated on aspects of the title over the past year," Ubi tell us today.

"The team at Darkworks has respected its contractual obligations on the project and will be a part of the success of the game when it launches."
