US giant Best Buy, one of America's biggest games retailers, have delayed plans to open a store until the beginning of 2010, the chain assuring that the economic climate isn't related to the delay.

Reports suggest that the could be down to commercial interests, a joint project with Carphone Warehouse originally planned for launch this summer.

"If it makes more commercial sense to open three or four months later, that is what we will do," commented Brad Taylor of KeyBanc Capital Markets.
