As Japanese publisher continue to munch up vast chunks of British publisher Eidos, the proposed is seemingly continuing apace, reports suggesting that Square and have finalised the terms of the buyout which will see the Japanese giant take total ownership.

According to MCV, the completion of the deal is expected in May, with trading in Eidos' shares expected to happen on April 21st.

Square Enix hope to have control of everything by May 6th, which will of course give them control of big-name IPs like Tomb Raider, Hitman, Deus Ex, Just Cause, Thief and Championship Manager.

The deal is likely to be ratified at an Eidos EGM scheduled to take place later this month. We'll keep you posted as this take-over progresses; and on any word on Square's future plans for the firm.
