Speaking about the release of Japanese developed games in Western markets, game designer Keiji Inafune has said that the platform is absolutely key to the publisher's plans.

Inafune believes the 360 has played an important role in Capcom's victories outside of Japan, having been home to games like and Dead Rising.

"I think I can only get away with saying this now, but I really thought that the using the was only way to break into overseas markets, and I took that hypothesis all the way," he said in an official interview.

"In the end, I am very happy that I did so."

Newer titles like IV and 5 are also being released as multi-platform titles, embracing both the 360 and PS3.
