Xbox 360 aids Capcom in West
Inafune praises console's role
Speaking about the release of Japanese developed games in Western markets, Capcom game designer Keiji Inafune has said that the Xbox 360 platform is absolutely key to the publisher's plans.
Inafune believes the 360 has played an important role in Capcom's victories outside of Japan, having been home to games like Lost Planet and Dead Rising.
"I think I can only get away with saying this now, but I really thought that the using the Xbox was only way to break into overseas markets, and I took that hypothesis all the way," he said in an official interview.
"In the end, I am very happy that I did so."
Newer titles like Street Fighter IV and Resident Evil 5 are also being released as multi-platform titles, embracing both the 360 and PS3.
