Warner demand more money from music games
Rock Band targeted by record label
Warner Music are once again proclaiming that they deserve larger revenues for songs included in games like MTV and Harmonix's Rock Band, the label adamant that their share of proceeds isn't fair.
This isn't the first time Warner have hit out at music games, having already attacked Activision over the royalties paid for the Guitar Hero series, to which boss Bobby Kotick responded that the games were actually good publicity for artists involved.
Warner Music, however, are sure they deserve more, despite Activision's protests, and now it seems they've turned their attentions on rival title Rock Band instead.
MTV have already responded, claiming that the label gets paid handsomely for their involvement, although this time it seems unlikely Warner will back down. We'll keep you posted.
