Czech developer Bohemia Interactive - the studio behind wargame ArmA II - are annoyed that are hell-bent on releasing a new title, which they believe is an unfair assault on their own game.

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising is the sequel to the original simulation, created by Bohemia, while this new title is created entirely without Bohemia's involvement.

Bohemia exec Marek Spanel objects to the Operation Flashpoint title being called a proper 'sequel', while Codies have apparently already said that the developer retain all IP related to the first game - apart from the brand name itself.

"But it is not right to promote this game as the 'official sequel to the multi-award winning Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis’ or the ‘return’ of Bohemia Interactive’s ‘genre-defining military conflict simulator,'" Spanel offered.

"The were given for the game created by Bohemia Interactive - not to a name."
