Word in from Destructoid this morning purports to reveal that are planning to lift the lid on 2 soon; a special version of Altair's adventures confirmed for the in the yesterday.

Assassin's Creed 2 will - according to the new - be set in 15th Century Venice, with a new trailer for the game showing hints of bribery alongside a rather pretty lady.

This is of course all based off a rather spurious anonymous email presently, but given that Ubisoft have in the past told us that they we were working to allow Altair to swim 'in the future', coupled with this rumoured locale, this does sort of make sense.

Or it could all be utter nonsense. Either way, we imagine we'll find out soon enough.
