Atari have this morning offered up an official date for their new Chronicles of Riddick game, Assault on Dark Athena. Starbreeze's new hit will be out in April, we're pleased to learn.

North America will get Dark Athena on April 7th, with the game sidling into on April 24th. The game is being crafted for the PC, and PS3.

As well as a brand new story campaign of the singleplayer variety, the game bundles in numerous options, and even offers up a high-definition reinvention of the original Escape from Butcher Bay campaign.

We're looking forward to seeing more of this.
