Pachter: PS3 will not pass 360 for 2 years
Pachter expecting a PS3 price cut... again
Wedbush Morgan's analyst Michael Pachter has said global sales of the PS3 will not the surpass sales of the 360 for two years, unless the price of Sony's machine is dropped.
"Without a price advantage, they will not pass Microsoft for at least two years," Pachter said to VG247.
"I think that means that they have to be priced at the same level or below the 360 to outsell them by a substantial amount, and I don’t see that happening this year," Pachter continued "I expect a price cut, but not big enough to drive an incremental 2 - 3 million unit advantage."
Pachter's comments came in response to questions on whether he thought Sony's console could overtake Microsoft's in 2009.
