Dell opens Download Store
PC builders sell games via online portal
PC manufacturer Dell has opened the Dell Download Store, where punters will be able to purchase software, games and music for immediate download.
The store has been produced with digital content firm Nexway.
Among the current bestsellers on the portal so far are Tomb Raider: Underworld, Spore and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky.
Director of consumer marketing for Dell Europe David Clifton said: "Consumers are very accustomed to downloading music and movies online but many are still buying shrink-wrapped software,"
"We're now offering customers the choice to purchase the music and software they want, and download it direct to their PC from one convenient location," he said.
