TechRadar reports that Dutch liberal MP Toine Manders, who has conducted the European parliament review, says that there is no proof that gaming has any immediate negative impact on children.

"Video games can stimulate learning of facts and skills such as strategic thinking, creativity, cooperation and innovative thinking, which are important skills in the information society," the report says.

"Video games are in most cases not dangerous," added Manders.

The report goes on to state how schools should embrace gaming for education as well as educate parents and children about the effects of gaming.

News of this report follows a recent study regarding possible links between gaming and levels of stress.

Brain Training all round.
