The world and its mother seems enamoured of Valve's excellent co-op zombie basher Left 4 Dead, the American developer confirming that new will be added to the game in the spring.

The new content will known as the L4D: Survival Pack, and it will offer a new mode called Survival, in addition to two new Versus campaign modes.

Valve also inform us that a new Critic's Choice edition will be released at the same time as the DLC, in stores, bundling in Valve's new content.

Excitingly, we finally learn that there will be a SDK; allowing players to make custom campaigns for the game via the matchmaking system. This will be offered free to all PC users, which is nice.
