Warner Bros acquires developer Snowblind
New studio joins Warner fold
Not everyone is reigning in the spending, despite the pressures of the global down-turn, Warner Bros having stumped up the cash to buy Snowblind Studios, the developer behind Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance, Champions of Norrath and Justice League Heroes.
Warner Bros have made a number of high profile gaming purchases in recent years, taking TT Games and Monolith in addition to take large stakes in Eidos. It is unclear what the take-over of Snowblind cost.
The developer are currently working on Death Tank for the Xbox Live Arcade, although who knows what Warner will put them to work on in the future.
"The acquisition of Snowblind is an important milestone for our games business, allowing us to expand our development capabilities even further," enthused Warner's Martin Tremblay.
"We are proud to be associated with such a talented team that is focused on executing innovative and captivating game designs."
