Handhelds still lead Japanese sales
DSi is still the top dog
Its January, and sales are down - the games industry suffering a spot of new year gloom while also contending with the global financial 'thing'.
Still, we have the latest sales figures from Japan, and while the numbers are much lower than during December, the DSi maintained it's lead in last week's sales.
Nintendo's new handheld shifted nearly 52,000 units, while the PSP managed 38,000 compared to the Wii's 27,000. The PS3 was fourth with less that 18,000, followed by the DS Lite with less than 14,000.
The Xbox 360 makes it onto the chart in the penultimate position, with sales of nearly 8,000. The PS2 was last with over 5,000 units sold. More on all this soon.
