Two new developers to emerge from Ensemble
Shelley proud of firm
With Halo Wars oh-so nearly with us, big-boss Bruce Shelley has been speaking ahead of Ensemble's long-planned closure - which will follow the game's release. Encouragingly, he believes "at least" two new developers will emerge from the ashes.
Shelley said that two new studios were being put together right now, and that he expects them to do very well.
"There were a lot of outstanding game developers here and it will be interesting to see how and what they do, both individually and as new groups, in the years ahead," he offered in a final blog update.
Shelley joined in 1995, and is clearly sad to see the veteran RTS studio close.
"We are working our way through the final week with mixed emotions. We have a lot to be proud of and new opportunities are beckoning, but it is also sad to see this particularly great adventure coming to an end."
Farewell, Ensemble.
