Hellgate: London set to continue for free
In Korea, anyway
With the death of Bill Roper-backed developer Flagship Studios, RPG debutant Hellgate: London faced an uncertain future, however it seems the game is set to continue under new controllers HanbitSoft.
The role-player is of course still rather popular in South Korea, so the local developer have opted to continue to support the game as a free-to-play online offering.
It does look likely that Hellgate will only be available in Korea, still, Namco affirming that Western servers will close, despite HanbitSoft planning to expand and improve the game - including new community technology.
A new patch for the title will arrive in South Korea, soon.
