According to the latest news today from Electronic Arts, C&C: Red Alert Ultimate Edition will be making its merry way to the PlayStation 3 console in March of this very year.

The game has been in the works for the for some time, although at one stage there was conjecture over whether the game would make it to release.

Still, it sounds as if this new version includes a few rather tasty enhancements, including five new maps, behind-the-scenes interviews, out-takes, a directory, and, yes, a 'girls of...' feature.

There are also unit profiles and the soundtrack to wrestle with.

"The PS3 is a very powerful platform, and the extra time we have had in development has helped us create the ultimate console RTS experience, with better graphics, improved performance, a ton of extras and some nice exclusive perks that cannot be found on any other version of Red Alert 3," beams David Seeholzer, development director at EA.
